Advanced Temperature Regulation with Real-Time Precision

Unlike conventional thermostatic valves, LEGIOMIXevo uses an electronically controlled ball valve actuator that continuously adjusts the hot and cold water mix based on real-time temperature feedback. This ensures consistently accurate outlet temperatures, even during sudden changes in demand. With an adjustable range of 20°C to 85°C and high flow capacity (up to 105 m³/h for DN80), it is well-suited for large-scale systems such as hospitals, hotels, high-rise residential buildings, and educational campuses.

The valve’s self-cleaning design minimizes scaling and mechanical wear. Daily automatic movement of the valve prevents buildup of mineral deposits, reducing the need for manual maintenance and ensuring long-term reliability.

Built-In Legionella Prevention

LEGIOMIXevo features programmable thermal disinfection cycles, allowing facility managers to automate high-temperature flushing to kill Legionella bacteria in storage tanks and pipework. The system logs temperature profiles and verifies completion of disinfection routines - key for meeting compliance and safety standards, especially in healthcare and aged-care facilities.

Users can configure disinfection schedules remotely via the dedicated Dashboard, by logging in Caleffi Cloud web page, ensuring flexibility across various operational conditions.

Connectivity and System Integration

Equipped with native Modbus and BACnet protocols, LEGIOMIXevo integrates seamlessly into modern Building Management Systems (BMS). In addition, the unit connects to the Caleffi Cloud, allowing operators to monitor, adjust, and troubleshoot system performance remotely.

The Dashboard (Caleffi Cloud) provides real-time data visualisation, temperature logs, alarm history, and remote parameter control, all accessible via web. This level of oversight reduces the need for on-site intervention and enables faster response to anomalies, benefiting operations with limited maintenance resources.

Energy Efficiency and Pump Management

To support energy conservation, LEGIOMIXevo includes a built-in scheduler for recirculation pump control. Pumps can be programmed to operate only during peak demand or disinfection periods, significantly lowering thermal losses and electricity consumption. This not only enhances system efficiency but also contributes to the building’s overall energy performance.

By eliminating the need to keep hot water at elevated temperatures throughout the day and reducing pump runtime, the system enables substantial operational savings over time.

Safety Comes First

Safety features include a fail-safe actuator that shuts off the hot water inlet automatically in the event of a power failure, preventing the risk of uncontrolled hot water release. The system also monitors multiple temperature sensors (mixed water, return line, and storage tank) to detect faults and trigger alarms when necessary.

All alarms, faults, and disinfection records are logged and accessible locally or via cloud, giving facility teams full visibility and control over their water safety systems.

The LEGIOMIXevo range covers multiple sizes - from ¾” threaded models to large DN80 flanged valves, making it suitable for a wide spectrum of projects.
