Flow Metering
Flow metering is used across all industries for consumption monitoring, leak monitoring and industrial process controls. It is used in buildings, factories and plants, vessels and offshore platforms and many more. Flow metering can be used for measurement of different types of fluid - water, gas, oil, chemicals etc. It is crucial for meters in industrial processes and consumption measurement for billing to be accurate and reliable.

Water Meter
AMI/AMR Smart Water Meter
Smart water meters are mainly used for monitoring of consumption and billing in residential buildings, commercial buildings and industrial compounds.
These water meters have different principles of measurement - using multiple or single jet streams to rotate a turbine, measuring a fix volume of water through a high precision rotating chamber etc. The sensor which is mounted on the analog register of a water meter produces a low level "Pulse" or high level "M-bus" output during operation which goes to a building management system where the meter reading can be monitored. These outputs can also be converted to "Modbus" outputs.

Data Logger
Data Logger
The data logger which is mounted on the analog register of a water meter produces a low level "Pulse" or high level ""M-bus"" output during operation which goes to a building management system where the meter reading can be monitored. These outputs can also be converted to "Modbus" outputs.

Oil Meter
Oil Meter
Oil meters are used to measure heating fuel consumption by oil burners and propellant fuel consumption by motors and engines. During flow, a rotary piston mechanism (positive displacement) repeatedly counts the number of times the high precision measuring chamber rotates and discharges fluid, thus measuring the volumetric consumption.

Flow Meter
Flow meters are often used in industrial plants for monitoring and feedback of process controls. Different types of flow meters are used depending on application and media type.
Paddlewheel flow meters have a free rotating impeller with magnets, perpendicular to the flow. The magnetic blades rotate past the sensor during flow to generate a frequency proportional to the flow rate.
For magnetic flow meters, a magnetic field is generated perpendicular to the moving fluid. When a conductive fluid flows through the magnetic field, it causes a voltage signal to be sensed by the electrodes on the flow tube wall. The faster the fluid moves, more voltage will be generated.
Ultrasonic flow meters use soundwaves to measure fluid flow. During flow, the flow rate is measured by the difference between the frequency of the transmitted ultrasonic wave and frequency of the reflected wave.
